We hope that you like what you see of his work here but if you would prefer something to suit your own specific requirements Tony would be happy to discuss how he could perhaps produce that special piece for you.

Tony Driver

After having spent over thirty years in ‘commercial’ art, with almost twenty of those years working as a graphic designer in senior positions in advertising and design and before becoming the marketing director of a company in Leeds Tony returned to his first love of ‘fine’ art quite recently.

Having done some work in the more traditional medium of oil paint he now says he prefers using acrylic paints and textures for their immediacy and for the interesting effects that they can produce but we know he also works in watercolour, gouache and pen – often all together in one image!

Although originally from the North East, Leeds has been his home for very many years and the inspiration for his work comes from all around but mainly from the landscapes and coastline of Yorkshire.

Although Tony’s paintings are not always of specific places, we are sure that you will agree that the colours, the textures and the spaces in his work portray the essence and the ever changing moods of the moors, the dales and the beaches in this diverse area. He spends as much time as he can in those areas close to his home. However, he has also recently produced paintings inspired by visits further afield to Portugal, Italy, Australia and Scotland.
